Let the Hunt Begin!

Something happens every year towards the end of July. It feels like the summer begins to speed up! It has been one heck of a busy one this year with moving, getting settled into a new routine and house hunting. Despite all the changes going on,  I have already started to shop for the upcoming school year. I am especially excited this summer to start putting together my "teacher wardrobe!" I am already thinking about what to wear that first day of school. Sad? Maybe, but I have always had a weak spot for shopping and what better excuse?! I have my eyes on these Tieks.  Be still my heart.

Matte Black - Tieks - AMAZING for traveling. They roll up super small and I am not kidding when I say they are so comfortable!
They come in all of these amazing colors and designs.

Not to mention I have heard they are like walking on air. In addition to trying to build up my new wardrobe I have been trying to come up with THE best tips and advice out there for student teachers. Thank the Good Lord for Pinterest. During the process of getting my teaching certification I have often felt at a disadvantage than those that choose education as their major. Call me crazy, but I had it in my head that things HAD to have been easier than the route I decided upon graduation. I am beginning to understand that everyone deals with their own insecurities when it comes to teaching. With all of that being said, I have come across what I agree are some really useful tidbits for those preparing to enter the classroom for the first time.

AMEN to being early and not on time. I always find it interesting when other people don't like to arrive early. I swear I start freaking out if I am not where I need to be at LEAST 15 minutes before the scheduled time.

Do you think anything was left off the list that should have been mentioned?
